"You rang, master
Razer/Aya Playlist from The Green Lantern Animated Series- still a work in progress-
“… Yeah… That… Uh… I’m pretty sure that won’t happen again any time soon so I’ll be alright…”
The blush that fills his face is apparent and is visible no matter what he tries to do to hide it.
“… I’ve been doing fine, just a bit of wandering I suppose… Nothing too special… Heh…”
"I’m sorry, guess that incident is taboo…" Chrome tried not to smile or look like she found his embarrassment amusement. "You sure? I would think school would be all kinds of exciting…or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part. I never actually attended high school, but it sounds fun from what people tell me of their past experiences."
“… I see, so I suppose you’ll be back in business in no time then. That’s good, I’m a little sad that I won’t be able to try any of your baking but I’m happy that you found something you like doing better. Not to mention I don’t have to worry as much over you now…”
"Hm, it’s a living and I’m happy with it" Chrome confessed. "…you were? I thought you’d be scared to death that’d I’d try to scar you with another unseemly display" Hands clasped behind her back, Chrome looked to the blue-haired boy. "And you? How have you been?"
“Ah! Chrome! It’s been far too long… I hope everything is alright with you and your new job…”
"Um…well I’m no longer at the bakery if that’s what you mean." A sheepish smile follows, "Sad since a friend was so nice to offer it to me in the first place, but I’ve found a place similar to Whip ‘Em. And it’s more my speed."
"But at the same time…so many things have stayed the same."
“… It’s been a while since I came here… And I see it’s hectic as always…”
“… Everyone doing alright?”
"Mhm! As well as can be expected. Long time no see, Minato-kun."
But it was fun to come back here and RP a little bit. I want to get back into character for this Chrome blog and eventually be more active, but it’s gonna take some effort on my part ^^;
“I’m glad… Your new job huh… A bakery or cafe of sorts I suppose, that’s exactly like my part-time job.”
The Fool wouldn’t dig in too much of his job but still it was nice seeing the ex-showgirl do something else, though it might be difficult for her to try something completely different from her previous career. He hoped that things were going well with her.
“… Well, if you wear this regularly to your work place I’m pretty sure business would be booming with customers… me included.”
"It’s a bakery. I’m still trying to learn how to make some of the baked goods, so at the moment I man the front counter, take down orders and clean. It’s still part time, so I’m trying to find something else too." A little bit too late, Chrome realized she was probably being a bore by talking about her job situation.
Nevertheless, she snickered at Minato’s suggestion. “I highly doubt my new boss would approve of me wearing this around his shop. But, good luck with your job too, Minato-kun.”
“I-I-It’s alright Chrome, I understand that a lot probably happened. I’m just glad to be able to see you again…”
He smiles a bit as he recalls the few mischievous moments he’s had with Chrome, they were fond memories nonetheless and he was glad that she was doing alright. As for the current state of affairs…
“O-O-Oh! R-Really…? Y-Y-You look really… beautiful in it… I think it suits you quite well…”
Chrome gave him a smile in return. “Yeah, it makes me happy too. I was worried that I would never meet any of the old patrons and visitors, so it gives me hope that I’ll meet everyone else since I’ve been able to see you again.”
"Why thank you! It’s a different feeling…I feel very feminine instead of constantly being covered in flour or pasty custard like at my new job."
He chuckled gently at her concern of becoming a bore, something that the Hierophant often considered himself to be. “It’s fine, Dokuro, really. It can take a bit to bore me to tell the truth.” He tossed her a warm smile as he stood beside her. He was pleased to see she did have a phone and while he wouldn’t have been troubled by the need to transcribe the instructions he’d gotten to paper, it would have been a tad tedious. Still, he was glad to be of assistance.
Chrome’s self proclaimed clumsiness — or perhaps she was merely forgetful — reminded Shinjiro of a few others he knew, but he thought it best not to comment. His companion’s observation of the city did however prompt a response. “I’ve heard that a few times, it’s only because the city is divided by Tatsumi Port, we’re in Iwatodai now, and Paulownia Mall is over in Tatsumi Port Island. Really it’s two separate cities, but for convenience it’s considered a single one.” He explained, hoping to null some of the other’s curiosity, however, at the mention of an after hours activity, Shinjiro cocked an eyebrow. “Where do you need to go? I can mark it on the map before I email it to you.”
"Ah, I see" Chrome added, nodding along to the instruction. She noticed he didn’t mention the particular area she needed to be. Maybe it’d be best not to blurt it out. After all it was mostly business with Whip’ Em than any personal venture of hers.
"It’s a little bit embarrassing," Chrome confessed. "You know the night club I work for? Whip ‘Em? We’re in the process of closing up…" it was a difficult thing to admit and Chrome knew she’d miss her job and co-workers. "Bossu is shutting down the operation, so I have to find a new place to work. I was hoping I could find a club willing to hire me as a hostess or something. I wouldn’t even mind going back to being a waitress for a little while."
“Um… Dokuro? Don’t tell me you’re in on this too?”
"But of course! I never want to miss the chance to put on a costume! It’s good to see you again."
